APHELION

Independent brand · In development

  1. APHELION homepage: a large serif wordmark with planets on orbit lines and 'Ten worlds. Ten points of view.'
Homepage Desktop Note 1: The homepage sells the idea behind the brand, while Shop and Wall Art stay one click away in the header.
  2. 'From fact to form' section: a photograph of Saturn, the fact about its rings, then the T-shirt design it became.
From fact to product Desktop Note 2: Each design is introduced by the real fact behind it, so shoppers see a reason to buy, not just another T-shirt.
  3. Neptune wall art product page: room preview gallery on the left; title, description and two print format options on the right.
Product page Desktop Note 3: The artwork leads in room settings, with the two print formats laid out plainly right beside it.
  4. Saturn wall art product page on a phone: full-width swipeable artwork with an arrow and a 01 of 07 image counter.
Product page Phone Note 4: On a phone, the artwork fills the screen and swipes, with a counter so shoppers know how many views there are.

Kaza Performance

Client website · In build

  1. Kaza Performance homepage: 'Supplied. Fitted. Transformed.' in heavy type beside two modified cars photographed head-on in the workshop yard.
Homepage Desktop Note 1: Two cars, one line, and the quote button in reach. A styling workshop is judged on how the work looks, so the work goes first.
  2. Two ruled strips: 'What we do' listing seven numbered services with an 'All services' cell, and 'Recent work' showing four project thumbnails with an 'All 25 projects' button.
What we do · Recent work Desktop Note 2: Seven services and twenty-five real projects, indexed rather than illustrated. Anyone can find the one job they came for in a couple of seconds.
  3. 'What customers say' with a five-star Google rating and a row of real reviews, and under it 'Latest from the workshop' showing recent Instagram posts.
Reviews and Instagram Desktop Note 3: Google reviews and the workshop's own Instagram sit together, so the proof and the newest work arrive in the same breath.
  4. 'Parts and fitting, under one roof': four numbered steps from sending photos to collecting the car, beside a photograph of the workshop with the door open.
How it works Desktop Note 4: Four steps from a photo on WhatsApp to collecting the car. Most enquiries are people who have never had work done before.
  5. The same homepage on a phone: the headline stacked over the cars, with a quote button and the workshop location fixed within reach of a thumb.
Homepage Phone Note 5: Most of this traffic arrives from Instagram on a phone, so the phone layout is composed on its own terms rather than stacked from the desktop one.

Dental practice

Client website · Live

  1. ‘Real smiles. Carefully considered.’ Three treatment cases, each a close-up of a mouth split down the middle by a draggable handle, labelled Before on the left and After on the right.
Before and after Desktop Note 1: Drag the handle and the same mouth changes under your finger — worth more than two photographs printed side by side. A case can only be published once the practice has ticked that the patient agreed to it.
  2. Treatment list: composite bonding, veneers, Invisalign and aligners, teeth whitening and smile makeovers, each with a one-line description.
Treatment list Desktop Note 2: Treatments are named the way patients know them, and each one is an entry the practice can edit itself.
  3. ‘From Behind the Loupes’: three article cards — composite bonding explained, the order of a smile makeover, and the truth about Turkey teeth — with the dentist pictured at work in the clinic.
Behind the Loupes Desktop Note 3: The dentist answers the questions people actually ask her on Instagram, in her own words and in her own clinic. Patients meet whoever will be treating them before they book.
  4. Section titled 'Five questions to ask before anyone touches your teeth', with numbered questions such as who is treating me and are they registered.
Five questions to ask Desktop Note 4: It gives patients questions to ask any clinic, this one included. Trust is earned before anyone is asked to book.
  5. Consultation enquiry section: three numbered next steps beside a form with name, phone, email, treatment interest and preferred clinic.
Consultation enquiry Desktop Note 5: Three plain next steps sit beside the form, so people know exactly what happens after they press send.
  6. The same treatment list on a phone, with a plus button beside each treatment to open its details.
Treatment list Phone Note 6: On a phone, details open only when tapped, so the whole list stays quick to scan with a thumb.

Lighting concept

Concept study

  1. Lighting concept homepage, dark: ‘Wired right. Left spotless.’ with call, WhatsApp and quote buttons, beside the contractor’s own photograph of a doorway lit at dusk. Business details are blurred.
Homepage Desktop Note 1: The page is dark so their own lighting is the only thing giving off light. Every photograph on it is a job they actually did.
  2. ‘Twenty-one reviews. Every one five stars.’ A bar chart showing twenty-one at five stars and nothing at any other rating, beside real reviews in the customers’ own words. Reviewer names are blurred.
Twenty-one reviews Desktop Note 2: Twenty-one reviews, twenty-one five stars. The chart shows the shape of that instead of asking anyone to take an average on trust.
  3. ‘One wall. Every mood.’ A photograph of an LED feature wall lit in violet, with four colour buttons — violet, amber, indigo and ice — under the description.
The colour wall Desktop Note 3: An LED wall they fitted, which really does change colour. Scroll and it cycles through its four colours, with the light spilling onto the page.
  4. ‘Recent work. Real photos from real jobs. No stock.’ An editorial grid of the contractor’s own photographs: outdoor wall lighting, bathroom downlights and a lit front door.
Recent work Desktop Note 4: Real photos from real jobs, said out loud, because every competitor within ten miles is using the same stock photograph of a plug socket.
  5. The same concept homepage on a phone: the lit doorway fills the top of the screen, the headline sits under it, and call, WhatsApp and quote are three taps side by side. Business details are blurred.
Homepage Phone Note 5: Call, WhatsApp and a quote form, one tap each, so a job can come in while he is still on the tools.

Salon concept

Concept study

  1. Salon concept homepage, dark with gold accents: 'Light, precisely placed.' beside a serum bottle still life. Business details are blurred.
Homepage Desktop Note 1: The main button is a call. Prices depend on skin and area, so talking is the quickest way to book.
  2. 'How laser actually works' section with three steps: consultation, patch test and your course.
How it works Desktop Note 2: Most first-timers arrive nervous, so the process is explained before any treatment is offered.
  3. Treatment list with each price marked 'on enquiry', beside a still life of a dropper bottle and towel.
Treatment list Desktop Note 3: Where prices vary, the list says so honestly and points people to a two-minute call.

Electrician concept

Concept study

  1. Electrician concept homepage: ‘Done properly. Left tidy.’ with a call button and a five-star rating, beside a photograph of hands wiring a consumer unit. Business details are blurred.
Homepage Desktop Note 1: Two words his own customers keep using, taken straight from his reviews, and a call button before anything else.
  2. A row of real Google reviews under a five-star rating, each tagged with the job it was for, scrollable sideways. Reviewer names are blurred.
Nineteen reviews Desktop Note 2: His reviews are the only thing about him a stranger can check, so they come second, and each one is tagged with the job it was for.
  3. Six services laid out like the circuit schedule inside a fuse board: numbered breakers for rewires, consumer unit upgrades, sockets and lighting, fault finding, EV chargers, and testing and inspections.
Circuit schedule Desktop Note 3: The service list is drawn as the circuit schedule inside a fuse board — the one object every customer has opened and nobody understands.
  4. ‘Electrics just gone wrong? Start here.’ Three cards — the power has gone off, a socket smells hot or buzzes, and it is not urgent — each with what to do and a call button. Phone numbers are blurred.
Start here Desktop Note 4: Most people reach an electrician’s website mid-problem. This sorts them by what has actually gone wrong and says what to do while they wait.
  5. The same concept homepage on a phone: headline, a full-width call button, and ‘Send job details instead’ for anyone who would rather not ring. Business details are blurred.
Homepage Phone Note 5: A full-width call button, and a second option for the people who would rather not ring a stranger.

Not sure which one? Say so on the form and I'll suggest one. Start a project

Things people usually ask.

Why are your websites cheaper than most agencies?

Because it's one person working efficiently, not an agency. The technical foundations every site needs are built once and reused, so your money goes on the design and content that are specific to your business. There's no office, no account managers and no hosting subscription to pay for.

What's included in the £999 website?

Up to five pages designed around how your customers choose you, built for phones, tablets and computers. A simple editor for your text, photos, services and prices. An enquiry form, the technical Google setup, your domain connected, a walkthrough of how to update it, and a short fix period after launch.

Can I edit the site myself?

Yes. You get a simple editor for your text, photos, services, prices and opening hours, plus a walkthrough. You won't need me for everyday changes.

How long does it take?

A one-page site takes a few days, most business websites about a week, and a shop or a bespoke build two to three weeks. The clock starts when your text and photos are ready, because that is usually what decides it rather than the building. Your written quote gives you a date.

I already have a website. Can you replace it?

Yes. I'll keep what's worth keeping and redirect your old page addresses, so existing links and search results don't break.

What about Google and SEO?

Every site gets the technical groundwork: page titles and descriptions, structured data, a sitemap, fast loading and Search Console set up. Nobody can honestly guarantee rankings, and I won't. Your reviews, your Google Business Profile and your competition matter as much as the site itself.

Are there monthly fees?

No. There's no hosting fee and nothing you have to keep paying me. You pay for your domain, and for any tools you choose (a booking system or Shopify, for example), directly to those companies. If you'd like me to look after the site, Care is £29 a month and you can cancel any time.

How does payment work?

Half to begin and half before launch. Shops and bespoke projects are paid in three stages: 40% to begin, 30% once the design direction is approved and 30% before launch. Your written quote sets this out before anything starts.

Who owns the website?

You do, once it's paid for. The domain is registered in your name, the content is yours and you can move the site elsewhere if you ever want to. I keep the reusable technical parts that I use across projects.

What if I need more pages or features later?

Start with the size that fits now. Pages and features can be added later, and anything extra gets a price before I do it, so there are no surprise bills. If a project needs more than the £1,999 package covers, I'll say so and suggest a sensible first phase.

Do you work outside Lancashire?

Yes. Most of the work happens by phone, video call and email, so I work with businesses anywhere in the UK. Being nearby makes the first meeting easier, but it isn't required.

Tell me about your business.

Answer a few short questions and I'll reply within one working day. There's nothing to pay and no obligation unless you accept a written quote.
